NORTH FORK OF THE SHOSHONE
Flows are at 940cfs today. The river is starting to fill up with fish, but run off is kicking off as well. The river will close April 15th from Newton creek down to Gibbs Bridge. On days the river is clean, nymphing stoneflies works the best.
SOUTH FORK OF THE SHOSHONE
The fishing is really good, but run off is starting to kick off on warming days. Nymphing stoneflies, perdigons, pheasnat tails, duracells, and midges are working the best. Streamers can still work as well. Mostly try smaller buggers or similar with a slower retrieve.
LOWER SHOSHONE
Flows are at 218cfs. The fishing has been good, but the river is very low. Nymphing has been the best. Midges, pheasant tails, perdigons, duracells, meatheads, worms. BWO action on dries can be good at times. Streamers have been working well too.
Thermopolis, Wyoming
BIGHORN RIVER
Flows are around 721cfs. Most the fish have moved into their winter holding water(deeper runs). Nymphing is by far going to be the most productive. Sowbugs, scuds, baetis, midges, worms, perdigons, duracells, pheasant tails.
